The bust of Matelda is known for its exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail. It depicts a serene and elegant woman with finely sculpted features and flowing hair, wearing a simple garment with a distinctive hood. The piece is considered a masterpiece of Renaissance art and is now housed at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples. The identity of Matelda and the exact circumstances surrounding the creation of the bust remain somewhat of a mystery, but the piece is admired for its beauty and the skill of its creator.
